One Year Later

13 May 2012
Well, here I am. One year after my first and only post. I really hoped to be better at contributing to the blog. "Best laid plans, slipped right through my hands."

I can say that I have had numerous photographic opportunities in the in the past year, but decided to take a small hiatus in January. I felt as though my love for the art of photography was being drained from me and it was becoming more of a chore. I, enjoy so much, capturing people and their personalities, but there were so many other factors in my life that prevented me from giving one hundred percent to my photography. I did, recently have a session, and it was a harsh reminder of exactly how much I've missed taking photographs. I thrive on capturing the happiness and even the uncertainties that we all encounter on this great adventure known as life. I hope to be able to re-establish my business, and I approach entirely different this time around. So, with a lot of prayer, I look forward to capturing the adventures of whomever I'm lucky enough to cross paths. I am also excited to announce that I have decided to enroll in the New York Institute of Photography. I look forward to learning and changing and growing as a photographer, and will hopefully be more apt to chronicle the future of Photography by Emilie.
